Background

The Keweenaw Sustainability Project was initiated by the Copper Country Citizens for Progressive Change in April 2006.

The initial focus of the Project is to identify positive examples already underway by individuals, businesses, and organizations in our communities that are contributing to the cause of sustainability.

Through illustration by positive example, we hope to inform the community about sustainability, and then proceed to explore what additional policies and practices need to be developed to ensue long range community sustainability in a more systemic manner.

We invite you to join us in this effort, to become involved in any way that you can. This is an enormous and long-term undertaking.
